Golden @ 10:40 AM

Old is gold they say and things get better with age.
Age is just a number though, controlled by time,
What truly makes something special are the memories.
Memories come in all different shapes and sizes,
Circles, squares, big or large, they are all memories.
Whether a memory may be captured in a single article of clothing,
It still captures a story.

Yesterday, I got to experience firsthand, second-hand shopping. Meaning purchasing clothes that were already used and became vintage. If you know me, I’m the type person who shops in massive shopping malls. You’d probably see me strolling around; hold my bags and smiling like nobody’s business. Hey, that’s just me. But yesterday really was an eye opener for me. I was shopping in Toronto on Ossignton and Queens and I truly then realized how much I was missing out on.

The whole scene and feel is much different than in shopping in malls. It’s just so much more raw and exciting that I was almost overwhelmed by all the choices and varieties in each store. Sure all the shops I went into were pretty crammed with too much storage but, if you look really closely there’s always something for everyone. You can purchase better quality items for half the price and best of all its entirely vintage. For me it was a great feeling just walking on the streets of Toronto going into each store and seeing new things. I honestly was too sheltered before to see all of these things before, but now that I have, trust me, I’m not going back.
